چکیده

Global warming and climate change are imminent threats to the future of humankind. A shift from current reliance on fossil fuels renewable energy is key mitigating impacts change. Biological raw materials residues can play a role in this transition through technologies such as anaerobic digestion. However, biological must also meet other existing food, feed material needs. Green biorefinery an innovative concept which green biomass, grass, processed obtain variety protein products, value-added co-products energy, helping many needs single source. In study, analysis has been conducted understand potential by-products residues, including grass whey, de-FOS whey press cake. Using digestion, biogas biomethane these samples have analyzed. An fertiliser resulting digestate undertaken. All feedstocks tested were found be suitable for production with most candidate yield 895.8 544.6 L/kg VS, respectively, followed by cake (597.4/520.3 VS 510.7/300.3 respectively). The results show considerable utilizing source production, even after several products co-produced.

3. Upgrading Dairy Biogas to Biomethane and Other Fuels

Dairy biogas can be combusted to generate electricity and/or heat. This report, however, focuses on alternate uses of biogas including the upgrading of biogas to biomethane, a product equivalent to natural gas or other higher-grade fuels. Biomethane, which typically contains more than 95% CH (with the remainder as CO 4 2), has no technical barrier to being used interchangeably with natural gas,...

Biorefinery for sustainable biofuel production from energy crops; conversion of lignocellulose to bioethanol, biohydrogen and biomethane

Sustainable production and utilization of biofuels has an enormous potential for the world’s energy supply. Most research studies usually focus on individual conversion processes and specific end-products. To gain full benefits however, it is important to investigate production and utilization cycles in an integrated way and to consider all important aspects involved: e.g. crop production, resi...

Biogas stripping of ammonia from fresh digestate from a food waste digester.

The efficiency of ammonia removal from fresh source-segregated domestic food waste digestate using biogas as a stripping agent was studied in batch experiments at 35, 55 and 70°C, at gas flow rates of 0.125 and 0.250Lbiogasmin(-1)L(-1)digestate with and without pH adjustment. Higher temperatures and alkaline conditions were required for effective ammonia removal, and at 35°C with or without pH ...
